Biography

Among the most acclaimed French mandolinists of her generation, Marine Moletto champions an ambitious and contemporary vision of her instrument, combining virtuosity, tonal depth and artistic commitment.

Originally from Tende, she trained at the Conservatoire des Alpes-Maritimes, the Rainier III Academy in Monaco and then the Nice Regional Conservatory, where she obtained in 2022 a Master's degree with highest honors in pedagogy and musical research in partnership with the Université Côte d'Azur.

A triple international laureate, she won the 1st Prize at the International Competition of Modena (Italy) in 2023, after a 2nd Prize in Schweinfurt (2021) and a 2nd Prize in Tokyo (2022), becoming the first French woman distinguished in all three competitions. Invited by Clément Rochefort on the Générations show on France Musique, she confirms a growing national recognition.

A sought-after soloist, she is invited to festivals such as Corsica Cantabile (2024-2025), Les Estivales du Médoc 2025 alongside Lorraine Campet (double bass) and Marianna Bednarska (marimba), and the Septembre Musical de l'Orne in duo with guitarist Anne-Sophie Llorens. She also performs with orchestra in major operatic productions such as Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Irrelohe by Franz Schreker, and has been notably invited to the Vichy Opera.

In 2025, her first solo album Notes de Voyage is released, praised for the poetry of her interpretation and the originality of a program blending early and contemporary repertoires.

Professor at the Nice Regional Conservatory and at the Conservatoire des Alpes-Maritimes, Marine Moletto is actively committed to developing the mandolin repertoire. She is president of the association Les Sommets de la mandoline, which works to promote the instrument through concerts, educational initiatives and community projects.

A complete artist, equally at ease as a soloist and in chamber music, she stands today as one of the foremost ambassadors of the mandolin on the French and international stages.
